Six Months In, Giuseppe’s Shifts Its Focus to Jewelry, Accessories, and Skincare

Six months after opening its online store, Giuseppe’s is narrowing its selection. The Midwest family-run boutique will carry fewer clothing styles and purses so it can devote more of its time and inventory budget to jewelry, accessories, and skincare.

When the shop opened in September, founder Joey “Giuseppe” Salomone saw the online store as a place to explore categories beyond jewelry. Carrying a little of everything, however, means spreading a small team’s time across sourcing, photographing, listing, and restocking more products. Scaling back clothing and purses gives the family more room to develop its original jewelry and keep popular pieces in stock.

Jewelry will remain at the center of the shop, with original Giuseppe’s designs alongside Italian-made and Italian-inspired pieces. The boutique will also build out its accessories and skincare selections, continuing to prioritize products made in Italy and choosing Italian-inspired styles that fit the collection.

Shoppers can expect a smaller selection of clothing and purses as the store makes this transition. The change gives Giuseppe’s room to grow the categories it can serve best while staying true to what brought the family into the business in the first place: offering distinctive pieces at prices that feel within reach.
